Those who live a healthy lifestyle engage in physical activities and good nutrition. When we consider self-care, many miss out on spiritual self-care. This talk is an opportunity to learn about and practice self-compassion. We tend to forget ourselves when it comes to comforting and cutting ourselves some slack.
In our WellnessTalk, The Practice of Self-Compassion, Dr. Scott Treatman will introduce and discuss the concepts of self compassion and loving kindness. He will look at common ways we beat ourselves up and impact both our spiritual and physical wellbeing. Dr. Scott will also use experiential exercises to demonstrate how a practice of loving kindness can be implemented in our daily lives and the effect that practice can have on reducing suffering and expanding our experience of happiness.

Mindfulness is a term used to describe the experience of being fully present to what we are experiencing in the moment. Cultivating the skill of present moment awareness enriches those moments and turns down much of the noise and story spinning that usually accompanies the experience. In our WellnessTalk, Bringing Mindfulness to Our Daily Lives, Dr. Scott Treatman will discuss mindful and conscious eating as well as other aspects of self-care such as mindful exercise. This talk will provide attendees with several ways to implement mindfulness into their lives to experience more of what is happening in the present moment.
HANDLING GRIEF, LOSS & CHANGE

We have all experienced grief, loss and change in our lives. Recent times have forced us to adapt to new ways of working , socializing, and relating to others and redefining our sense of ourselves. The loss of our ability to participate in work, relate to individuals we serve, and seek solace from activities can create a sense of sadness. This loss of joy affects us both physically and emotionally, lowering our emotional and physical stamina.
In our WellnessTalk, Handling Grief, Loss and Change, Tammy Zumbo, LCSW-R will help participants identify sources of grief, and how these affect their lives. Grief, loss and change will be explored as how they affect both the body and the mind. Tammy will explain techniques designed to help clear and restore your physical and mental energy.
